Welcome to our kitchen—a place where Dad and I both compete for the title of head chef.
Unfortunately, due to Dad’s consistently questionable phone-camera quality, he has temporarily been relegated to sous chef until further measures are taken. His recipes, however, will always receive the credit and gratitude they deserve.
Sofia Made This is a growing journal of the recipes we make repeatedly, the experiments that turn out surprisingly well and the dishes I genuinely believe are worth sharing. Some are entirely our own; others have been inspired by or adapted from recipes encountered along the way. Wherever another cook has helped shape a dish, they will be acknowledged and credited properly.
This website began as a bit of fun while I work out the next steps in my life. There is no grand plan or carefully mapped direction—it will simply become whatever it becomes. For now, it is a collection of recipes, shared tables, people we love and memories made around good food. In time, perhaps it will grow into something else entirely.
It is a little present to my future self: somewhere I can return to and remember what we cooked, who we shared it with and what life looked like at the time.
